Objectives
- To develop or improve the students’ competency in completing the technological design process (inquire and analyse an issue, develop ideas for an outcome, create an outcome and evaluate the outcome) to develop a digital media outcome.
- To further develop the student’s capability to utilise a variety of software applications to plan, design and create a technological outcome.
- To expose students to the concepts and skills involved in algorithmic problem solving and computer programming (coding).

MYP Unit | Outline |
Technological Innovations | Students will use the technological design process to create a digital media website outcome that provides the target audience with information regarding a new or futuristic technological innovation that has been selected by the student. The global context for this project is “Scientific and Technical Innovation”. |
Māori Myths & Legends | Students will learn a programming (coding) language and develop skills needed to create a computer program. The purpose of the computer program (app or game) chosen by the student from within the global context of “Identities and Relationships”. |
