Objectives

The course is designed for all abilities to develop skill, creativity and an independent work ethic.  

The programme focuses on drawing, painting and printmaking techniques as well as giving students an understanding of established art practice. Students complete a programme of work to build skills and knowledge in art that will help them prepare for Year 10.  Work is marked using the MYP criteria.


Extra curricular activities that can extend students in Visual Arts include:

GDC_arts - Ongoing competitions, external Art and Photography competitions, Art lunchtime activities, Summerfest, School Art Exhibition, displays, assisting with School Production, and community projects.

Subject and Associated Costs

Course Cost: $20.00 This includes a visual diary and art equipment.
