Pathway

A career in music can take many forms. The traditional role of the musician is still very much alive, but with the advent of new technology, it’s possible to launch a career in music using other musical skills. Fresh ideas are always welcome in a market where most tracks sound similar, so if you have a talent for creating interesting beats and melodies, you could find yourself studying further or with a career that supports your passion for music.

Assessment Information

Students may mix Achievement Standards of both Making Music and Music Studies. Students with an interest in Contemporary Music Technology may also be able to complete Unit Standards. This will be done in consultation with the HOD.
