Why is Communication Important? | Learn practical skills to aid visual communication. These will include drawing techniques, digital design tools and the elements and principles of design. |
Ideate This - Handheld Product | Learning the concept of Ideation and the process of design – how to create your own unique and creative design ideas to solve a design problem. |
The Spatial Project | Students will take the skills they have learnt and their knowledge of the design process to create a solution to their architectural design project. They will create a portfolio of work that documents their design process and the creation of their food-related experience. |
Modelling and Presentation | Students create a model to present their final concept to a chosen audience. |
Term 1
Why is Communication Important?
Students learn a range of practical skills to aid visual communication. These will include drawing techniques, digital design tools and the elements and principles of design.
Term 2
Ideate This.
Students focus on learning the process of form development and ideation and the process of design – How to create your own unique and creative design ideas to solve a design problem. Students begin by looking at their own personal nostalgic images before using this influence to initiate their design process and create a design outcome for a product of their choosing.
Term 3
Students will take the skills they have learnt and their knowledge of the design process to create a solution to their architectural design project. They will create a portfolio of work that documents their design process and the creation of their food-related experience.
Term 4
Students will complete their design process by creating a physical model and presentation of their final architectural concept.
